Part III

Privacy Policy

11The short version

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts and scripts are served from our own hosting. This is why no cookie banner is shown. Personal data is processed only in the limited situations described below.

Our site is not intended for people under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you become aware that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us.

12Data controller

Logicians Lab Ltd. (details above) is the controller responsible for personal data processed on this website. For any data protection question, write to hello@logicians.com.

13Personal data we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. This site has no accounts, contact forms, analytics, or marketing sign-ups; the only personal data you actively give us is whatever you choose to include in an e-mail (for example, to hello@logicians.com or join@logicians.com). That may include:

Separately, our web host automatically logs limited technical data each time a page loads; see “Hosting and server logs” below.

14How and why we use your personal data

We collect and use your personal data for the following purposes and on the following lawful bases:

Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under a contract we have entered into or will enter into with you, and you do not provide it when asked, we may be unable to deal with your enquiry, provide what you have requested, or perform our contract with you.

15Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger UK, 6 Lloyds Avenue, Suite 4CL, London, EC3N 3AX, United Kingdom (VAT no. GB315238718); servers are located in the United Kingdom, with backups held in Germany. To deliver the site reliably and securely, the web server automatically logs the requesting IP address, date and time, the file requested, browser and operating system, and the referring URL. We do not use this data to draw conclusions about you personally, and it is retained only as long as Hostinger’s platform requires for security and service delivery.

Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and reliably. A data processing agreement is in place with Hostinger.

16Sharing your personal data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Your personal data may be shared with third parties only where one of the following applies:

The following is a list of third-party organisations that act as data processors on our behalf, pursuant to specific contracts we have with them, for specific activities relating to the operation of our company and the provision of its services:

Switzerland benefits from adequacy decisions under both the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, so no additional transfer safeguard is required.

17Retention

We will only retain your personal data for the period necessary to provide requested services, as needed to comply with legal obligations, or as agreed with you, or otherwise to fulfil the purposes, rights and obligations outlined in this privacy policy.

Retention periods can vary substantially based on the type of information, how it is used, and industry best practices.

18Your legal rights

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

If you wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact us using the e-mail address below.

19Complaints

If you have a complaint about any element of how we use your personal data, please contact us first so that we can endeavour to resolve it.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In most cases, this will be the authority in the location of your habitual residence, your place of work, or our company headquarters. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

20Contact us

If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please contact us by e-mail at hello@logicians.com.
